Zedeka Poindexter (she/her) is a talented writer and performer from North Omaha. With a background in account management and communications, she transitioned from pharmaceuticals to become Co-Executive Director at the Nebraska Writers Collective (NWC), where she champions community building through the written and spoken word.

Zedeka holds a degree in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her artistic work delves into sensory experiences, blending poetry and essays that deeply resonate. She's received the Omaha Entertainment & Arts Award for Best Performance Poet and the Amplify Arts Public Impact Grant. Zedeka's work appears in notable publications and on Button Poetry's platform.
